  • 05/06/11 -I (Jay Parry) decided I wanted to make a game with Josh Blake as the co-founder and we both owned 50% of the "company" each.I was going to be the game coder and Josh was going to do the art for the game. The first idea of Forbidden Islands the game. Originally called "Forbidden Realm". Designs started as semi birds eye view.

26/05/11 -www.IslandsOfXeoth.com domain was registered using www.webs.com and development on the game began in Java (JDK)with Josh Blake as the coder and me as the graphics.

18/07/11 -www.IslandsOfXeoth website was abandoned and we then registered the new domain(and the new game name) ForbiddenIslands.com using www.justhost.com .I (Jay Parry)started learning HTML/php/css.

26/08/11 -I deleted the entire website by accident and had to start again. We also hired Dylan Hart as the official network security to make sure I didn't do anything stupid and didn't mess anything up again Dylan didnt own a part of the business percentage a this point.

13/09/11 -ForbiddenIslands.com hit 20,000 page visits and its first beta tester and pre-order. Coding then began using C# in XNA.

19/09/11 -Coding Forbidden Islands in C# was very un-beneficial so we started using "Unreal Development Kit" and then some real game making progress began.

16/10/11 -ForbiddenIslands.com First Official Trailer hit YouTube. We also started thinking about developer company names. Josh thought of Zevix games. It was one of our first idea's that we though of and stuck with.

17/10/11 -www.SplashCakeGames.com Is the last and final game dev company name we chose and both approved of.

21/10/11 -www.SplashCakeGames.com domain was registered and hosted along with ForbiddenIslands.com using http://www.justhost.com/

17/1/12 -We had a new member of the team join. His name is Jamil Shaukat. He is the graphic/3D modeller for Forbidden Islands

1/3/12 -Jamil Shaukat was removed from the SplashCakeGames team as the 3D modeller because he didn't do enough work and he didn't communicate well.
